A Washington Heights man has been cuffed for stealing a Long Island do-gooder’s car and then striking and killing the man with it, Suffolk County authorities said Saturday.
Edwin Gutierrez, 48, of W. 156th St. is now facing murder, robbery and attempted grand larceny charges for the Nov. 28 incident outside a North Bay Shore 7-11 that ended Dionel Ramirez’s life, officials said.
On the day after Thanksgiving, Ramirez, 69, had parked his Hyundai outside the convenience store at 5:45 a.m., leaving it running while he ran in to collect leftover food the store was donating, officials said.
