Tuesday night, HuffPost Gay Voices continued its focus on changing the way we raise children by calling for an end to “sex-segregation” in public schools, labeling the practice as “archaic” and, of course, “patriarchal.”

The article, written by Lucas Waldron, came on the heels of a New York Times story that highlighted the growing practice of “separating public school students into classrooms based on traditional definitions of sex.” Waldron didn’t like hearing this at all and spent a total of six paragraphs complaining about.

“Sex-segregation in public schools is not only an archaic policy, it also threatens the safety of trans students and institutionalizes patriarchal definitions of gender that harm our entire society.”
