Only a matter of time until a Walmart is torched in solidarity with St. Swisher of Ferguson.

Hundreds of people protested outside Walmart in North Bergen on Friday morning, rallying for a higher minimum wage on what is considered one of the biggest shopping days of the year.
Roughly 300 people from various labor organizations gathered outsidethe Walmart on 88th Street, blocking a section of the parking lot as a steady flow of shoppers continued to arrive at the store. The protest was among 1,600 planned across the country — and joined at least three others held in New Jersey — which were organized by OUR Walmart and the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. The protests focused on raising wages to $15 an hour and forcing Walmart to offer consistent full-time work to its employees.
Barbara Gertz, who works as an overnight stocker at a Walmart in Colorado, said she makes $10.40 an hour with a $2 night shift differential. She lamented that she can’t help her stepdaughter pay for college and said she and her husband have never been able to take a vacation.
She also noted that she can’t to afford to fix a broken tooth because her benefits don’t cover enough of her dental bill. But she said she traveled to New Jersey because she wanted to speak out for all Walmart employees.
