Does storming city hall classify as “mostly peaceful?”
ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Three people were arrested when protesters attempted to gain entry to City Hall in downtown St. Louis Wednesday.
Jeff Rainford, Chief of Staff for the St. Louis Mayor’s Office, told News 4 a small number of protesters attempted to charge into City Hall after the group marched through downtown, causing a small scuffle at the doorway.
Rainford said the mayor’s office usually will work with protesters so they can safely protest inside, and outside, the building but a small number of “unruly” protesters caused a disturbance on Wednesday.
Rainford said the police worked with the protesters so they could march safely downtown but pepper spray was used when things became “unruly” at City Hall.
