Two FBI agents were shot while assisting the University City Police Department in executing a warrant early Wednesday morning in St. Louis County.
One agent was shot in the shoulder and the other in the leg in the 1800 block of North Hanley Road around 2:53 a.m. Both agents were transported via ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for the FBI said the incident is not directly related to the Ferguson protests.
North Hanley Road is currently closed between Page and Ellerton due to a large law enforcement presence.
