I’m pretty sure the people who fought for women’s suffrage didn’t threaten to kill cops, burn American flags, throw firebombs, loot stores etc.
LISA BLOOM: Now, of course, a state of emergency when the protests have been 99% peaceful, I think all of this is a slap in the face to the community. I think these protesters are the latest in a long line of historic American protests that brought us women’s suffrage, the civil rights movement in the 50’s and 60’s, the end of the Vietnam war, and I think these folks should be celebrated, not vilified worthy of the national Guard and all these police tactics.
