We reported yesterday that protesters were demanding “rules of engagement” for how the police should respond when the decision was announced including such things as not responding to ‘minor things’ like water bottles being thrown at them.

Here’s more on their desired “rules”:

19 ‘Rules of Engagement’

Some of the coalition’s “rules” ask that police provide information that makes clear law enforcement’s chain of command, who is making what decisions and why, and assurances that neither police nor the government will interfere with the flow of information. That means, according to the “rules,” there will be no unwarranted wiretapping or attempts to interfere with internet and cellular access. The rules ask the police not to use rubber bullets, armored vehicles, rifles and tear gas.

The organization also has written stipulations about how it wants police to present themselves, including a request that officers wear attire “minimally required for their safety” and that “specialized riot gear will be avoided except as a last resort.”

Here are the rules they wanted.

Update:

There has been no official word yet, with sources being cited for tonight, others for Monday, with movement of helicopters and vehicles today termed as staging. Businesses are taking no chances and are boarding up in readiness.

Amusing tweet of the night so far, as people wait:

Update:
Apparently, Obama is watching tonight too…

Update:
There is fake report of a memo, supposedly from ADM Security, saying the decision will be announced at 2 pm on Monday. However, that company has denied having anything to do with this case. They are based out of Chicago, so why they would have anything at all to do with this, it makes no sense. This is likely an Anonymous hoax.

Chris King of the St. Louis American is reporting Nov. 16 at the earliest, which is what police have previously said.
