I wonder how the Obama regime would react if this was Israel calling for its citizens to attack Palestinians?
Via Free Beacon:
The Palestinian government has called on its “fighters” to launch a “day of rage” against Israel on Friday that will include armed attacks in Jerusalem, a move that has sparked fears that widespread riots could wreak havoc on the holy city.
Israeli authorities shut down access to Jerusalem’s Al Aqsa mosque late Wednesday following the shooting of a Jewish citizen by Palestinian terrorists.
Israel’s call to block access to the Temple Mount area of Jerusalem’s Old City—the first such closure since 1967—led the Palestinian government to call for armed resistance and accuse Israel of declaring war.
“Fatah calls to its fighters and to the masses of the Palestinian people to aid the Al-Aqsa Mosque and occupied Jerusalem,” the Palestinians’ main political party said in a statement published Thursday and translated by Palestinian Media Watch (PMW).
Update: Shocker.
(Times of Israel) – Washington called for Israeli authorities to reopen the Temple Mount to Muslim worshipers Thursday, while also condemning the shooting of a US-born activist who lobbied for Jewish rights on the holy site.
Secretary of State John Kerry said he was “extremely concerned” by spiraling tensions in the capital, after Israeli authorities closed the site, known as Haram al-Sharif to Muslims, in an effort to staunch possible violence following the Wednesday night shooting of Rabbi Yehudah Glick.
“It is absolutely critical that all sides exercise restraint, refrain from provocative actions and rhetoric, and preserve the historic status quo on the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount – in word and in practice,” Kerry said in a statement.
“The Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount must be re-opened to Muslim worshipers and I support the long-standing practices regarding non-Muslim visitors to the site,” he said.
Palestinians said the full closure of the site, considered holy to both Muslims and Jews, was provocative and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called the closure, possibly for the first time since 1967, a “declaration of war,” according to a spokesperson.
