Dems would be calling for napalm bombing runs if these were tea party protesters.

FERGUSON – Police say five people were arrested overnight during protests outside the Ferguson Police Department.

St. Louis County Police Sgt. Brian Schellman said Thursday that a crowd of about 200 encroached upon the police headquarters, blocking traffic on South Florissant Road and knocking over barricades.

Five officers were hit with rocks, bottles and a metal rod but no one was injured, Schellman said. Backup officers were dispatched to the headquarters when some in the crowd tried to break through barricades a second time.

By 2 a.m., the crowd dwindled to about four people, Schellman said. The five protesters who were arrested were charged with misdemeanor counts of peace disturbance or failure to disperse. Police did not immediately identify them Thursday.
