You may already know about how the Keene Pumpkin Festival in New Hampshire turned violent over the weekend, with injuries and at least 14 arrests. And you may already know that many people have noted the differing responses to a mass of drunk college students rioting and the protests in Ferguson in the days following Michael Brown’s death.

The pumpkin rioters were mostly white. The protesters in Ferguson were mostly black.

On Monday, a group of protesters armed with pumpkins descended upon the St. Louis Justice Center, a common site for post-Ferguson demonstrations. St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Steve Giegerich was on the scene, and reported that two people were arrested.
