In his speech to about 1,100 people at Allen University, Vice President Joe Biden would say it isn’t about party politics in one sentence, then make jabs at Gov. Nikki Haley and Republican leaders, saying their policies are why people should get out to vote.
Biden left the crowd supercharged for November, but he did so by attacking the GOP establishment in South Carolina.
“The idea that these guys value the same things we do is so far from the truth,” Biden said.
Biden criticized Republican stance on roads, jobs, and education.
“Why does it make sense to cut early education,” Biden said. “Why does it make sense to oppose building new roads, building good bridges, creating good jobs?”[…]
Finally, Biden gave the crowd a fiery charge to fight against what he called racially biased voter ID law in the state.
“Seven out of 11 states with the highest number of African American turnout passed laws to restrict voting,” Biden said.
“We do what we can to protect the integrity of the ballot box,” Moore(SC GOP Chair) said. “One case or 10,000 cases.”
Biden told the crowd to get out and vote. Moore says the GOP is doing the same.
