An new poll shows that Americans have little confidence in President Obama’s administration to protect them from terrorist attacks or mass shootings, and even less faith that the federal government will improve the flagging economy.
Just 2 percent are “extremely confident” the government can handle the unstable job market, which this month saw worker participation rates drop to the lowest level in history. The same paltry percentage expressed optimism that Team Obama could handle “economic uncertainty on Wall Street.”
According to the latest Associated Press-GfK poll, Americans also have little confidence that Obama and the federal government can reduce racial tensions, despite the fact that the president is the first half-black, half-white man ever elected.
