Because people either love it or detest it with a passion when we post about Charles Johnson aka Husky Ponytailed Blogger aka Chuckles the Clown so I’m going to put this one beneath the fold.
Before the Husky Ponytailed Blogger decides to call someone a “C-list hack” it’s probably a good idea to check the other website’s statistics to make sure you can back up the put-down. He wrote this about us yesterday:
“to a host of C-list hacks like Weasel Zippers”
Here’s what the HPB proudly displays to the world without even a shred of evidence to back it up. Roughly 80K views per day which equates to 2.4 million a month (I know that’s just for yesterday but I’ve checked in the past and it was around that level).

This is where it gets good:
Here’s what BlogAds measures for LGF so they can sell advertising on his behalf. One month worth of page views (directly measured via embedded code in his site) at only 633,000 per month or 21,000/day. So he’s inflating his stats by a whopping 400%! I can personally vouch for BlogAds (we used them for about 2 months), they are very close to Sitemeter which I use.

Now here’s WZ “C-list hack” stats directly measured via Sitemeter, in April we had over 1.4 million views and 1.53 million for March for a daily average of 48,000 or 223% higher than the Husky Ponytailed Blogger.

Summary:
Charles Johnson’s fragile ego inflates his stats by 400% (displays 2.4 million per month, reality is 633K).
WZ’s traffic is 223% higher than LGF (1.46 million vs. 633K)
I’m not here to argue which “list” I’m on because it’s, well, stupid. But one thing is certain, if I’m C-list then the HPB is on the F-list for FAIL.
UPDATE: Here’s a great video demonstration of how he inflates his page views courtesy of Chen Zen.
