Via Times of Israel:

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’s Fatah organization recently honored a female suicide bomber on their official Facebook page.

A photo-shopped image of bomber Zainab Abu Salem was uploaded to the page on the popular social network. The image included a picture of the Temple Mount compound and the emblem of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, Fatah’s armed wing. It was first reported Sunday by Palestinian Media Watch, an Israeli watchdog group that tracks the Palestinian media.

The upload was accompanied by text that invoked the female suicide bomber’s headscarf: “After the operation, Martyr Zainab’s head was severed from her body, while her hijab (religious headscarf) continued to cover her hair. With this she became the eleventh female martyrdom-seeker in Palestine.”

According to the post, Abu Salem, 18, hailed from the Askar refugee camp in the northern West Bank city of Nablus. She detonated herself after she was stopped and searched by Israeli security forces in the French Hill neighborhood of Jerusalem, killing two border policemen and injuring 30 civilians.
