Another fund-raiser for President Obama on Tuesday, on the same day he announced that “on my orders, America’s armed forces began strikes against ISIL targets in Syria.”
Obama, in New York to address the U.N. General Assembly on Wednesday, took time to raise money for two Democratic senators Tuesday evening. In his remarks, he used his newly launched war and other crises to tout “American leadership” — his own policies — as the bright spot in a disordered world:

“So what we’ve seen is American leadership at its best,” Obama said.
