Once again, to no one’s surprise, Washington, D.C. sits at the top of the the highest median household income list in the United States– dwarfing the top 25 most populous cities in the nation.

According to newly released data from the Census Bureau, which was conducted using data on median household income at the national and state levels based on the 2012 and 2013 American Community Surveys (ACS), DC had a median household income of $90,149 in 2013. This figure is $10,000 more than San Francisco, which comes in at second in metropolitan areas with a median household income of just below $80,000.
