A British hostage captured in Syria two years ago has appeared in an Islamic State propaganda video appealing for the public to stop Western forces going to war with the terror group.
The man, who MailOnline have chosen not to identify, speaks calmly as he sits behind a desk in a dark room while wearing an orange T-shirt.
He said: ‘In November 2012, I came to Syria where I was subsequently captured by the Islamic State.
‘Now nearly two years later, many things have changed including the expansion of the Islamic State to include large areas of eastern Syria and western Iraq, a land mass bigger than Britain and many other nations.
