Horror! Outrage!
Via Media Equalizer:
It was almost two weeks ago that a Massachusetts State Police vehicle was found with a strange bumper sticker reading “racial profiling saves lives”. But that hasn’t stopped our media friends from cranking up the OUTRAGE (!!!!!) machine once again. […]
Meanwhile, the Boston Globe’s headline calls it “an offensive” bumper sticker:
State Police cruiser vandalized with offensive bumper sticker
State Police determined that a sticker reading “Racial Profiling Saves Lives” slapped onto a trooper’s cruiser in late August was an act of vandalism.
Offensive to whom? Boston Globe reporters?
Yes, some people are angry about this, but other words and phrases come to mind first, like “bizarre”, “brazen” (the perp), “mildly amusing prank”, etc. If it’s that easy to place a sticker on a police cruiser, they’re lucky the message wasn’t far worse. But as usual, the media’s looking to stir up the public, hoping for Ferguson-like violence in the Boston area.
