Why would you be so silly as to compare generations, and insult prior generations, including “the greatest generation”? Hey, that’s Crazy Uncle Joe for you.

Vice President Joe Biden thinks that the veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars get the short end of the stick when they are compared with older veterans.

“I have it up to here with people talking about the older generation, how this generation doesn’t measure up,” Biden said. “You exceed the measure of any other generation.”

Biden made his remarks at a barbecue honoring American soldiers competing at the Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded veterans.
“Look, folks. It’s not hyperbole to suggest what is the truth,” he said. “You are the finest group of warriors in the history of the world. That is not a joke.

You’re the best trained, you’re the most competent, you are the most courageous group of professional warriors the world has ever seen.”
Biden reminded the veterans that they had gone to hell and back.

“It’s one thing to hear about hell,” he continued. “It’s another place to go to it, come home, and go back.”

That was an inspiration, he explained, to the entire world.

“What you don’t get, I don’t think, is what an inspiration you are to Americans facing adversity,” he said. “You are a genuine inspiration to Americans and everyone around the world.”
