A true hero of the working class.

WEST MILWAUKEE — Protesters hoping for a higher minimum wage have been detained at a McDonald’s on Miller Park Way in West Milwaukee.

Congresswoman Gwen Moore is one of those protesters that has been detained, as “Wisconsin Jobs Now” detailed on Twitter:

Though Moore’s staff used the word “arrested,” police on the scene said the congresswoman was “detained.” A total of 26 protesters were either arrested or detained, according to TODAY’S TMJ4’s Michele Fiore.

Protesters also shut down traffic on Miller Park Way. The protests are part of a nationwide movement demanding a $15 per hour minimum wage.
