On the heels of criticism from both sides of the political aisle — most notably Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) — that Obama has been “too cautious” when it comes to ISIS, Press Secretary Josh Earnest said something today that absolutely floored me, as he compared the president’s so-called “caution” on ISIS to his “caution” on the auto bailout.

“That was a risky maneuver,” said Earnest of the auto bailout. “It would not have been possible without this president, who is sometimes described as cautious, making the bold decision that really paid off in spades for the American public.”
