Global warming alert.

Baltimore still hasn’t hit 90 degrees this month, despite forecasts it might have Wednesday. With perhaps one more chance to hit the mark, it could be the first August without 90-degree temperatures here in 30 years.
Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, the point of record for Baltimore, peaked at 89 degrees Wednesday afternoon. Forecasters had suggested it might reach the lower 90s. (Temperatures meanwhile peaked at 90 degrees at the Maryland Science Center downtown.)
Temperatures have failed to hit 90 for 35 straight days, since July 23. On average, eight days hit the 90s in Baltimore each August.
