U.S. intelligence indicates that Russia plans to soon provide heavier and more sophisticated weaponry to Ukrainian separatists, according to the Pentagon.
The Pentagon announced Friday that it “has indications” that the transfer of several heavy caliber, multiple launch rockets from Russia to Ukrainian separatists is imminent, and could happen “at any time.”
This weapons transfer could happen “potentially today,” Reuters reported the Pentagon as saying.
Pentagon spokesman Colonel Steve Warren said that the U.S. has seen a consistent flow of weaponry into Ukraine from Russia for several weeks.
