No shame.
Via WSJ:
Many Democratic candidates locked in tight races this year are keeping their distance from President Barack Obama, whose middling approval ratings could drag them down.
Not Charlie Crist. In his quest to unseat Republican Gov. Rick Scott of Florida and reclaim the governor’s mansion, the Republican-turned-Democrat is running what may be the most pro-Obama campaign in a swing state or conservative-leaning one.
On the campaign trail, Mr. Crist, who took heat from Republicans for hugging Mr. Obama in 2009 before his split from the GOP, has vigorously defended the president’s health-care law, called for expanding Medicaid coverage under it—which Florida hasn’t done—and backed the administration’s high-speed-rail plan.
“I love him,” said Mr. Crist in an interview after a campaign event here. “I think he’s a great man, a great leader and a great president.”
