Notice that he avoids and avoids the question, until finally he says “a deportation proceeding has started against anyone who entered illegally”. That, of course, is fundamentally disingenuous, as the “deportation proceeding” is not the same thing as being deported, one could be found to be a refugee and stay.

Yet it is also disingenuous because most of these illegals who have entered are already gone, delivered to “their families” in a city near you, never to return or be seen in any such proceeding, and Johnson well knows it.
