Maybe I’m delirious, but there’s something called the law here, simply apply it and ship them back.

If they are legally refugees, let them apply through processes already in place.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Some leading members of the U.S. Congress are calling on the Obama administration to consider launching an emergency refugee program for Central American children as one way to address a rapidly escalating humanitarian crisis at the southern border with Mexico.

Tens of thousands of children from Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras are showing up illegally, often without any parents or relatives, at the Texas border. Their numbers could reach 90,000 this year and grow to 150,000 next year – up from only about 6,000 in 2011, according to government estimates.

As we have reported previously, the plan had been to treat them as refugees BEFORE THEY EVEN CAME, without looking at individual cases. Back in January, the Feds were putting out requests for positions to deal with 65,000 illegal unaccompanied minors. We noted the important information that they would be dealt with by the “Office of Refugee Resettlement”. What is the purpose of this office? To integrate them into American society, not to take care of them while they wait to be deported.
