Mayor de Blasio is still fighting for Mike Bloomberg’s failed ban on super-sized soda.
De Blasio said Friday he will try to get the City Council to pass legislation enforcing a 16-ounce limit on soda and other sugary beverages — even after the state’s highest court refused to allow the ban Thursday.
“I’d love to get legislation through the City Council,” de Blasio said outside Gracie Mansion Friday.
“I’m going to talk to them about it, I think it’s quite clear that they are not embracing the notion . . . so if we can find a way forward together, that’s still the ideal.”
