Dispute between rival chess teams

A 37-year-old woman was killed and three others were wounded in separate shootings across the city Friday night and Saturday morning, according to police.
The fatal shooting happened at 7:50 p.m. on the 11400 block of South Aberdeen Street, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro. She was pronounced dead shortly after she arrived at Advocate Christ Medical Center, police said.
The woman was sitting on a front lawn speaking with a group of people when shots rang out, said Alfaro. The woman began running and then collapsed a short distance away, Alfaro said.
Area South detectives were investigating.
Later, about 10:40 p.m., a man was shot in the 200 block of East Kensington Avenue in the West Pullman neighborhood. He was taken to Franciscan Saint Margaret hospital in Hammond with a wound to his arm. Someone in a passing gray minivan shot him, Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.
About 1:20 a.m., someone shot a 23-year-old man in the 1400 block of North California Avenue in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. He was dropped off at Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center and transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County, police said. Police said the shooting appears to be gang related.
About a half hour later, in the 3900 block of West Grenshaw Street, a 22-year-old was shot in the leg. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition. The man told police he heard shots and felt pain.
