Via Daily Mail:
The Nigerian army were warned that al Qaeda-linked terrorists planned to storm a school and kidnap 270 girls but did nothing, a rights group says.
Amnesty International said that the military in state capital Maiduguri had more than fours hours’ notice before the raid took place. Fifty-three of the girls have escaped, leaving more than 200 still captive.
It comes as British and US anti-terror specialists were using aerial surveillance and evesdropping technology in northern Nigeria today to help pinpoint the position of Al Qaeda-linked militants holding nearly 300 schoolgirls hostage.
