Via Politico:
Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) may not be up for reelection in 2014, but he sure knows that he wouldn’t campaign with President Barack Obama if he were.
Appearing on “Morning Joe” on Monday, the West Virginia senator flatly said “no” when asked if he would appear with the president at campaign rallies in his home state if he were in a race this year.
“Very quick, unfair hypothetical,” co-host John Heilemann said to Manchin and then popped: “If you were running for reelection this year, two quick questions. One, would you ask the president to come campaign for you in West Virginia —”
“No,” Manchin quickly replied, cutting Heilemann off.
