CNN commentator, advisor to a pro-Obama Super PAC, and former Counselor to the President in Clinton White House Paul Begala tried to throw the race card at Sean Hannity, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz.
Friendly tip to @seanhannity, @SenRandPaul, @SenTedCruz: don't endorse or defend Donald Sterling. DO NOT do it. http://t.co/fVHKNZVYg2

Of course, Paul Begala, always a little behind the game, had failed to get the memo, and was roundly schooled by Instapundit for Begala’s blatant attempt to tar Hannity and the prospective Republican front-runners for 2016.
“@PaulBegala: Friendly tip to @seanhannity, @SenRandPaul, @SenTedCruz: don't endorse or defend Donald Sterling. DO NOT do it."
He's a Dem.

Not only was Donald Sterling a Democrat, but a frequent donor to Democratic candidates and causes.
Realizing his mistake, he tried to backtrack:
@instapundit @seanhannity @SenRandPaul @SenTedCruz I don't care if he's a Dem or Repub, I've denounced him. Where were you on Bundy?
— Paul Begala (@PaulBegala) April 27, 2014
But of course, his whole point was to try to tar Republicans with Sterling, and Twitter didn’t let him get away with it:
Ha! @PaulBegala totally schooled. You're a bigot and a douche. @instapundit @seanhannity @SenRandPaul @SenTedCruz
