The head of the United Nations panel on climate change is pressing governments to “exercise a high level of enlightenment” to reconcile differences over how to mitigate global warming.

Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Rejendra Pachauri told governments and scientists on Monday that their goal during the week-long meeting in Berlin is to form a “robust, policy-relevant and informative document,” the Associated PressĀ reports. The policy will be aimed at keeping the global temperature increases below 2 degrees Celsius by the end of the century.
