Sherrod needs to work on his insult game.
Via Politico:
Sen. Sherrod Brown slammed his state’s decision to trim early voting Wednesday, saying the policies from the state’s Republican elections official are “mean.”
The Ohio Democrat was asked about Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted’s recently unveiled early voting schedule, which eliminates Sunday and evening early voting. Critics have said the changes unfairly target voters who traditionally vote Democratic, but Husted said they represent bipartisan ideas.
“It’s their economic plan, trickle-down economics, tax cuts for the rich,” Brown said on MSNBC’s “The Ed Show” on Wednesday. “Everything is aimed at workers and minorities and the poor. The way they govern is all about that. It’s a mean-spiritedness that we really didn’t see in this country a decade or two decades ago.”
Brown said when he was Ohio’s secretary of state, he supported policies including having voter registration forms served on McDonald’s tray liners.
