Get back on the plantation, Thomas!

Alabama state Rep. Alvin Holmes (D-Montgomery) isn’t backing away from his criticism of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, once again calling him an “Uncle Tom” in an interview aired on Hannity Monday night.

In response to Holmes’ original remarks, host Sean Hannity sent radio host David Webb to Alabama to ask the Democrat about his controversial criticism. Holmes, an African-American, once again slammed Thomas, who is also African-American.

“You called Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom — Justice Thomas,” Webb said. “Do you still stand by that statement?”

“Yes, I do,” Holmes responded. “I think Justice Clarence Thomas on the United States Supreme Court is an Uncle Tom. A black man allowing himself to be used to carry the message of a white man, which is against the interest of black people in America — in my opinion, that’s an Uncle Tom.”
