Bill de Blasio took to the podium this morning to defend yet another disastrous handling of a snow storm, and not closing the NY City Public Schools, during a Nor’Easter. He claimed the snowstorm we knew was coming a week ago hit NYC harder and faster than the National Weather Service predicted.
To which veteran Today Show Anchor and meteorologist Al Roker hit back on Twitter with:
@NYCMayorsOffice says snow was faster/heavier than expected. No, Mr. Mayor. It came as predicted. Don't blame weather for YOUR poor policy

How dare @NYCMayorsOffice @NYCSchools throw NWS under the school bus. Forecast was on time and on the money

I knew this am @NYCMayorsOffice @NYCSchools would close schools. Talk about a bad prediction. Long range DiBlasio forecast: 1 term

Mr. Mayor, I could never run NYC, but I know when it's time to keep kids home from school
