Mayor de Blasio’s plan to fund prekindergarten by taxing the wealthy sparked a war of words between state Senate leaders Monday, with funding for the mayor’s flagship program hanging in the balance.
State Senate GOP leader Dean Skelos, a foe of the tax increase, said he won’t even allow a vote on de Blasio’s proposal to reach the floor.
