The former “official voice” of Donald Duck in the Middle East is ruffling feathers this week, claiming he was fired by The Walt Disney Company over anti-Israel Tweets. Crushed free speech … or quackery?

The Egyptian voiceover artist and local radio star Wael Mansour is back in the headlines again. Mansour, an Egyptian who calls himself the formal (he means former) voice of Donald Duck in Arabic, is stoking some Disney-related Twitter quackings across the Middle East.

A tweet from February 6 began trending on Monday. In it, Mansour claimed Disney dropped him from the job of Donald Duck’s voice because of an “Anti-Zionist” Tweet from his personal account.
