She gives a rebuttal and bam there is an investigation. Will the IRS also investigate?

Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., faces a House Ethics Committee probe over whether she improperly mixed campaign and office budget funds in running her successful race to become chairwoman of the House Republican Conference.
Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash. (l) is chairwoman of the House Republican Conference and a lieutenan to House Speaker John Boehner. She is the female face in the House GOP leadership.
A complaint, filed by a former aide, has been referred to the Ethics Committee by the Office of Congressional Ethics.
“We’re fully cooperating,” McMorris Rodgers told the National Journal.
The congresswoman’s office is blaming what it called “a disgruntled former employee” for the charge, Politico reported. The ex-employee, Tod Winer, is now communications director for Rep. Raul Labrador, R-Idaho.
McMorris Rodgers has assumed a higher profile in recent months for both high and low reasons.
She gave the official Republican response to President Obama’s State of the Union speech last month. She recently became the first House member to give birth three times while serving in Congress.
But her name was on a House Republican Conference memo, last summer, that instructed GOP House members on how to pack home-district town meetings with supporters and dictate the agenda of topics discussed.
