Woody Allen will respond to his adopted daughter’s allegations of sexual abuse by penning an op-ed piece in the New York Times — the same newspaper that ran Dylan Farrow’s letter last weekend, accusing Allen of molesting her when she was seven years old.

“They asked and we said, ‘Yes, send it in,'” Andrew Rosenthal, The Times’s editorial page editor said Thursday, according to Vanity Fair. The paper, however, couldn’t confirm they would run Allen’s letter in full.

“Normally, we don’t publish a direct response” as a full op-ed article, Rosenthal said, but as a smaller and less prominent letter to the editor. “In this case, it was so personal, we thought that we should.”
