Liberal radio host Bill Press fumed on Tuesday over MSNBC president Phil Griffin issuing an apology after the network tweeted a remark about how the “rightwing” would be offended by a Cheerios commercial featuring a biracial family. Press called the apology “unnecessary” because the sentiment expressed in that controversial tweet was, in his opinion, “the truth.”
“I just think the whole thing is outrageous,” Press said. “I hate this apology, I think it was unnecessary and just, just played right into their hands.”
