That was great advice, Harry! We encourage all Dems up for re-election to be seen in public with Obama as much as possible. Like you said, “people love this man.”
Via Free Beacon:
[S]enate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D., Nev.) told Bash earlier this week he would encourage Democrats to have Obama appear alongside them to drum up support, but he struck a different tone a day later, after the president’s tepid State of the Union.
“It’s up to individual senators,” Reid said. “I can’t tell them who to ask to campaign for them. That’s up to them.”
Two days ago Reid had this to say:
. . . “Barack Obama is personally a very popular guy. And people love this man. They love his family,” Reid told Bash. “Of course, with what the Republicans have been doing, trying to denigrate him with what’s happened with the rollout of Obamacare, but things, even this week, his numbers are going up again.”
“So you would encourage some of your most vulnerable Senate Democratic candidates to invite President Obama to appear with them,” Bash asked.
