Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus banned his staff and associates from appearing on MSNBC, pending an apology from MSNBC for a tweet suggesting that conservatives “hate” biracial families.
“This morning I left a message with MSNBC President Phil Griffin to express my displeasure,” Priebus said in an RNC memo. “Until he takes internal corrective action and personally apologizes — not just to the RNC but to all right-of-center Americans — I’m banning all RNC staff from appearing on, associating with, or booking any RNC surrogates on MSNBC.”
In the offending tweet, MSNBC said, “Maybe the rightwing will hate it, but everyone else will go awww: the adorable new #Cheerios ad w/ biracial family.”
