The mindset behind this is rooted in our Christian-influenced culture, and can be used as a clear point of evidence that the idea of displaying compassion to our furry friends was, and always will be, a human thing. According to the scripture, sex should only be had between wedded individuals, and done only to reproduce. But like anything, times change and people wake up. What I’m implementing is that due to how influenced us Europeans and North Americans were by our Christian history, we’ve since deemed premarital, inter-specie and homosexual sex as taboo.
This concept is engraved into our conscience as thoroughly as our thirst for revolution, or our fear of the dark, and will remain in us for many more years to come. However, there is hope. And that hope rests in education. So long as we retain our ability to comprehend, criticize, and think, we will stay strong and continue down our path to universal acceptance. Look how much progress we’ve made! LGBTQ people have a voice! Teachers, politicians, and even some priests sport the rainbow key-chain, bracelet or flag. Marches of pride occur worldwide! …
Zoophilia is the next concept that we as a conscious society should attempt to understand and accept; the next step we need to implement to alter the world and forge better, stronger, continents.
