Who could have ever imagined there are Communist sympathizers in academia?

It’s not every day that an Indiana agency promotes a quotation from a communist leader, but it happened last week on the Indiana Department of Education’s Twitter feed.

“To reap a return in ten years, plant trees. To reap a return in 100, cultivate the people,” read the tweet from @EducateIN, noting the late Vietnamese communist leader Ho Chi Minh as the source.

“Huh,” was the immediate Twitter response from Jennifer Wagner, a former spokeswoman for the Indiana Democratic Party and wife of State Board of Education member Gordon Hendry.
