More in the continuing saga of Wendy Davis.
We first mentioned Davis lied under oath here, here’s the actual testimony. Davis was testifying before a three-judge panel that was was deciding whether the new Texas legislative district map violated the U.S. Voting Rights Act.
She testifies: “I got divorced by the time I was 19 years old. And I had started working when I was 14. I was raised by a single mother. My mother only had a sixth grade education. My parents divorced when I was 11 years old.”
She actually was not divorced until she was 21. Her father lived in the home until she was 11, but says although he was not living in the home after that, he was still present in her life. Then according to her father, Wendy’s mother remarried 2 or three years after the divorce. So again, as with her own single time in the trailer, there is an “over-extension” of the time of her mother’s singleness. She also testifies that her mother had a sixth grade education, when she actually had a ninth grade education. Who doesn’t know the education level of her own mother?
