A report in The Hill revealed that aides close to Senate Democrats are meeting with President Barack Obama on Wednesday with high hopes that the relationship between legislators and the president will change in 2014. Democratic Aides reportedly hope that the Obama’s humbling 2013 will lead to more “humility” from the president who has previously been seen as “distant and insular.”

“Aides say the new faces joining the president’s inner circle suggest a possible new humility following a year that saw Obama hammered over the botched rollout of his healthcare law, a series of administrative controversies and an aborted attempt to launch a military strike against Syria,” The Hillreport reads.
