The Sunni jihadi vs. Shia jihadi death match continues.
Via Times of Israel:
A car bomb ripped through a stronghold of the Hezbollah terror group in a southern suburb of Beirut Thursday afternoon.
Initial reports put the death toll from the blast at three people, according to the Daily Star in Lebanon.
The Hezbollah-run news site Al-Manar reported the bomb was carried by a jeep.
The bomb went off during rush hour in the Haret Hreik neighborhood. An Associated Press reporter on the scene saw two bodies on the street, and at least 10 wounded people.
A television feed at the site showed blow-out store fronts and several burnt cars on the street, with hundreds of people around.
Police were firing in the air to keep people away from the scene, al-Arabiya reported.
The city has been rocked by a series of bombings over the past several months, thought to be spillover violence related to Hezbollah’s support of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
