This will be at least the 15th Obamacare provision waived by the Imperial Presidency.
Via Washington Examiner:
President Obama’s team implementing Obamacare is preparing to waive yet another provision of the law — at least the 15th — in order to rescue charitable hospitals from legal requirements that would cost them their tax-exempt status.
“This revenue procedure provides guidance regarding correction and disclosure procedures for hospital organizations to follow so that certain failures to meet the requirements of § 501(r) of the Internal Revenue Code will be excused for purposes of § 501(r)(1) and 501(r)(2)(B),” a proposed rule released states.
National Review’s John Fund calculated Dec. 20 that at least 14 “unilateral change[s] to Obamacare [have] been made without consulting Congress,” making this charitable hospital exemption — if finalized — the 15th.
