Governor Haley posted this to her Instagram account accompanied by the following message:

“Our family had a wonderful Christmas together! I must have been good Santa gave me a Beretta PX4 Storm.”

Haley’s husband, Captain Michael Haley, just returned from a one-year deployment in Afghanistan with the South Carolina Army National Guard. Upon his arrival, she said:

“I think we will just appreciate this Christmas more because you truly do understand your blessings. When you know you could lose a loved one and to think of that every day, it reminds you truly to be thankful for what you have, and it really helps you understand that a lot of the small things don’t matter.”
