One of the things that the government shutdown and the effort by the Obama regime to shut off veterans from their memorials impressed upon me, was the great importance of those memorials, and the sacrifice that our veterans have made for us, in so many wars, in so many lands, in so many ways.

In particular, it made me think of the members of the “greatest generation” who served us so valiantly and so well in World War II, how much we owe them, and where we might have been had we not had them there.

For us, who were not alive then, it may be hard to understand how many went down and signed up immediately after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, how every family had someone serving. It was a simple article of faith for these men and women, to give of themselves for their couuntry.

It is this clear-headed generation that is quickly passing from us.

The Honor Flight recognizes this and gives them perhaps a last opportunity to come to Washington DC to see the memorials. Breitling made the above video and is helping to raise money for more vets to make the Honor Flight.

Here is a link to help them out, if you would like to do so. Merry Christmas!
